Day 67: Houdini

...okay, not really, but he'd be the next
best thing if there were a 'baby Houdini'!
This little boy gets in a standing position
(while laying down in his bouncer chair)
and then kicks off.. yeah, needless to say,
I think we're done using the bouncer!

Oh, and he's wearing a pair of Gavin's socks...

Day 66: Great Falls, Va.

We spent our afternoon at Great Falls National Park, in Great Falls, Virginia. It's about a 30 minute drive (in decent traffic) from our house... but so worth the trip! It's a beautiful place! We packed the kids a picnic and then just walked around for a few hours!

Day 65: Flying Kites!

Last night, at bedtime, Gavin told Logan that he wanted a kite like they have on "Team Umizoomi"! So Logan told him they'd go get kites tomorrow while mommy ran her yard sale. And they did- they each picked out a kite! And let me tell you- I didn't think this was going to be age appropriate for Kaelyn (she turns 2 this month), but it totally was! She had SO much fun running around with her kite flying above her. Gavin had a blast too, even though his kite didn't fly much at all; he picked out the kite because it looked cool (it was a lizard). All three of them ran around flying their kites in the air for probably 30 minutes!

There's nothing greater in this world than
seeing your kids happy & having fun!

Day 64: Move out the baby stuff!!

I'm having my first yard sale tomorrow morning! And as you can see- I've gathered up all of the baby stuff that we haven't used in a while (and really don't have room for) and I'm hoping I'll make a couple of bucks! I priced everything pretty decently, I think. For example- I've got the Fisher Price Travel Swing priced at $15.00, a pack n play w/ bassinet and changing table (not pictured) priced at $15.00, all baby/toddler clothes are .25 a piece, a Tiny Love Gym priced at $8.00, all of the other "baby items" are priced between $2.00 & $5.00, and all of the toys we're selling are priced at .25-$1.00. I'm just hoping that a couple of new moms or moms to be will stop by!! Wish me luck!!

Day 63: You can't fool me!!

So here's what I did--
I put just a few sprinkles on top of plain yogurt,
and called it ice cream!
Clever, right?
I'm sure I'm not the first to think of it. ;)

Well, I totally fooled Kaelyn...

She really did love it!

But.............
there was no fooling Gavin!
he took one (big) bite and told me
"that's not ice cream!"

Okay... you got me...

It was worth a shot...
I might even try it again tomorrow!

Day 62: Ahhhhh! Here comes...

Kaelyn, the monster!!!!
She roars...
and she roars some more...
she wiggles her fingers in an attempt to scare you...
and then...
she bursts into giggles!!!!

Day 61: Randomness is easy to come by in this house!

I didn't take a picture of anything in particular today...
here are just a few random shots from our day.

Homemade chicken noodle soup...
aka: the kids' lunch today!

So Kaelyn only took an hour long nap today- not good!
She was cranky to say the very least...
but raisins made her happy!

Dylan has found his tongue again- he's obsessed!

Day 60: Uh, what do you think you're doing?

While I am not holding my breath that he will be taking off anytime soon (he's not even close)- seeing him like this totally took me by surprise. I was in the kitchen preparing lunch, and when I turned around the corner to peek on him, he was tucking his legs up underneath himself! I stood and watched him for several minutes, then thought duh, take a picture!

I guess that talk we (Dylan & I :P) had back on September 22, 2009- the one where he promised me he would stay little forever went in one ear and out the other... I should've known, after all, I have a 3.5 year old and an almost 2 year old... darn that thing called time.
