Day 59: My 'keyless' keys!

Okay, so there's one 'key' on there... but it's my house key. Neither of my car keys are actual keys! The key to the Prius (the rectangle one) is a "smart key"- so it has a chip in it that the Prius recognizes... as long as it's in the car with me I just have to push the "start" button. And the key to the van (the oval looking one) works just like a regular key; you slide the square part into the ignition and turn it just like you would any other key, only it doesn't look like a key.

Day 58: In the nick of time!

Yesterday was a long day, to say the very least! We spent all afternoon and the majority of our evening at a car dealership... Dylan and I slept in until about 9 30, and then once we were awake and had eaten, Logan & I decided to go look for mini vans. We had been talking for a long time about trading in our SUV, but we decided in just a few moments to actually go look around! So we got everyone ready and out the door around 11 30. The car dealership was about 40 minutes away... after getting there, we waited for our car to be appraised and were very happy with their offer! So we checked out the lot, we called our bank about financing options, and the kids played in their child care room. We picked out a van that we both liked, got everything cleared with the bank we wanted to use, and then got ready to sign... buuuutttttttt, I somehow forgot that duh-- we needed the title of our Explorer to sell it to the dealership! So- we made the almost 2 hour round trip back to the dealership with the title in hand. We did eat dinner at home and the kids got to relax for a bit! We got back to the dealership later in the evening, and signed the papers and drove home our new van!!!! It was 10 pm by the time we got home, so Gavin & Kaelyn went straight to bed. Logan, Dylan, & I hung out downstairs for a little while; Dylan goes to bed with us around 11 and sleeps until noon most days! Well around 11 30 I remembered that I needed to take a picture for today- and Logan poked fun by saying "who's going to know?" Yeah, yeah... well I would know! haaha! So I took a picture of Dylan hanging out on the couch with me!

Day 57

So the pictures above were originally my "day 57" pictures-
however, what is going on in the below was just too
cute for me not to take a picture of, so here ya go!

It doesn't matter how many times I say "no toys in the kitchen!" Toys always end up in the kitchen! Well they were playing with their cars, and under the stove Kaelyn's car went! I said "tell daddy..." So she did, and daddy to the rescue! He got her car (and about 6 other toys too)!

Day 56: Faux Hawk & "Sweepy" Face!

Yay for fake mohawks!!! :)

And we're back to swaddling for nap times...
Since he's napping in his bouncy chair, he's not rolling over,
so to get him to nap, I'm swaddling just his upper body.
And "sweepy" is baby talk for sleepy!

Day 55: Play time!

He has been fighting daytime (& nighttime) sleep for the couple of weeks! These pictures were taken in between "naps". In other words, I had tried to get him to sleep with no success, so we had play time in hopes of making him sleepy... it worked.

Day 54: Big Sister, Little Brother

Kaelyn & Dylan are going to be good friends.
I just know they will be!
He loves watching her, he laughs at her...
& since he came home from the hospital,
she's been a little mommy to him.
She doesn't try to pick him up, or feed him-
but she does get very concerned when he fusses,
and she reminds me constantly that Dylan is sleeping,
if she wakes up before he does in the morning.
She's just very sweet with him!

Day 53: Dylan is 5 months old today!

Day 52: We've adjusted...

I am anything but happy to report that after a year and a half of living up here, we have come to enjoy 40* weather! 40 to us now, is what 70 is to my South Floridian friends! With that said- today was a very nice day. The temperature got up to about 45* today. The kids and I were outside for most of the morning, and we're about to go back out and play some more after nap time! We walked through the icey-snow (leftover from a couple of weeks ago) to the park, and they had a blast running around and playing! We all had on light jackets- and Gavin even got too warm, and took his jacket off at one point!

Day 51: Lazy Saturday

While Gavin & Kaelyn did spend most of the morning playing in their playroom, chasing each other around the house, and coloring-- they also spent a little bit of time lounging around, watching the tube!
